Peconic Landing Retirement Community

O'Donnell & Naccarato was lead designer providing structural engineering and project management services for this ground-up project with multiple structures of varying styles including detached cottages, an apartment building, and a community / health center. Peconic Landing is located on the North Fork of Long Island on a half-mile bluff overlooking the Long Island Sound.

The cottages are single story wood framed residences with two car garages. The 250 unit apartment building is 2 ½ floors of composite joist framing supported by metal stud bearing walls over top of one level of partially below grade parking. The community / health center is a 100,000 SF structure split between community space and health care space. The building features an auditorium, numerous dining areas, lounge, fitness center and swimming pool. The health cente has been recognized as one of the “Best Nursing Homes in America” by U.S. News and World Report (2012).
