Non-Medical Chemical Biological Defense Facility

Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD: A new three-story, 75,000 SF Non-Medical Chemical & Biological Defense Facility at Aberdeen Proving Grounds to accommodate 360 employees when complete. The Facility is part of the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) initiative, which will provide administrative support areas for military and civilian personnel from three bases in Texas and Virginia. State-of-the-art Department of Defense Anti-Terrorism Standards are incorporated into the design, which has received LEED Silver Certification for sustainability and energy efficiency practices.

Naval Weapons Station Security Improvements

Colts Neck, NJ: A new multi-structure entry control facility that includes a one-story, 6,600 SF vehicle inspection / pass and identification building designed to meet DoD Minimum Antiterrorism Standards for Buildings, a one-story, 205 SF guard booth, a two-story, 107 SF elevated firing position structure and foundation design for the automatic retractable vehicle arrest barrier. This design/build project will pursue LEED Silver Certification.

Machinery Networks & Integration Facility

Philadelphia, PA: O’Donnell & Naccarato was responsible for leading the design team that included completion of Architecture, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection documentation for this project. This Design-Build effort incorporated sustainable design features into the free-standing 7,200 SF specialized testing and research facility. The specific cooling requirements far exceed industry standards for research facilities.

Fort Belvoir – Building 324

Fort Belvoir, VA: Structural design services for the placement of two new roof top units on the existing structure and various structural modifications throughout the building.

Fort Belvoir – Building 309

Fort Belvoir, VA: Provided a structural feasibility study for adding a maximum 5,000SF 3rd floor onto an existing two-story concrete framed office building.

Data Center

Clarksville, VA: Investigation and conversion of existing 179,000 SF factory for use as a data center. Included the re-use, modification and additions to the existing facility.
