Saint Joseph's University Garage

Location: Philadelphia, PA
Architect: Stantec Architecture, Inc.

O'Donnell & Naccarato provided parking consultation and structural engineering services for St. Joseph’s University's 135,000 SF, 5-level, precast concrete parking structure on 54th Street in Philadelphia, PA. The garage provides 442 parking spaces for the campus, and includes 19,000 SF of street-level retail space comprised of a Cosi restaurant and the University Bookstore, which nearly doubled in size at its new location. Due to a limited footprint, both bays of the 2-bay facility slope, making precast panels and aluminum screens necessary to mask the slope. The exterior is natural stone & brick set in precast panels, and the masking screen is set in a Gothic arch style reminiscent of many other buildings on St. Joe's campus.

St. Joseph’s University's new parking garage was awarded Pennsylvania Parking Association’s Award of Excellence for New Design, Less Than 450 Spaces.
