New York Institute of Technology Biochemistry Lab Renovation

Project Overview

This project involved the renovation of NYIT’s 3,000 SF 9th-floor biochemistry laboratories at its New York City campus, modernizing the space to support advanced biological and chemical research. The scope included full MEP upgrades—new HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler systems, and lab infrastructure— alongside the installation of state-of-the-art fume hoods, vacuum pumps, compressed air systems, and emergency response equipment such as showers and eye wash stations. Additional enhancements included updated doors, ceilings, flooring, and lab casework. The renovation significantly improved both safety and functionality, enabling faculty and students to conduct scientific research in a more efficient, compliant, and supportive environment— furthering NYIT’s mission to lead in science and technology education.
