King of Prussia Mall Court & Plaza Connector

Location: King of Prussia, PA
Architects: RTKL; McGillin Architecture, Inc.
Construction Manager: IMC Construction

The 2.7 Million SF King of Prussia Mall is one of the largest retail centers of its kind in the United States. The new connector building will merge the existing independent plaza and court sections of the mall, which are currently situated on either side of an intervening parking lot. The 155,000 SF elevated link will allow shoppers to traverse the entire length of the mall without having to exit the facility, while providing space for 70 new retailers, an upscale dining pavilion, a customer lounge, and a new parking deck.

O’Donnell & Naccarato is providing ongoing structural engineering design and construction administration services for the connector link building, as well as renovations to the existing structure to accommodate the expansion. The project is being completed in multiple phases to allow the facility to remain open during construction. Delivery of the link is expected for Fall 2016.
