Cumberland County Technical Education Center
Designed by Garrison Architects
On September 16th, 2014 shovels broke ground in Bridgeton, New Jersey marking the start of construction for CCTEC’s new 2-story, 202,000 SF technical high school. CCTEC describes itself as a “public career and technical high school dedicated to providing each student the opportunity to reach his or her potential as a productive and successful member of the community.”
O’Donnell & Naccarato is providing structural engineering design services for the new $45M facility to be situated along side the Cumberland County College Campus. CCTEC’s steel-framed structure will house classrooms, a media center, technical laboratories, a greenhouse, a gymnasium, and other amenities. The full-time technical school will offer both technical training, such as welding, plumbing, heating ventilation and air-conditioning, auto-mechanics, and cosmetology, as well as regular high school academic classes.
