B.Labs

Brandywine Realty Trust teamed up with the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center of Bucks County to create B.Labs, a life science incubator at Cira Centre. The 50,000 SF space is designed to provide collaboration and research space for startup, early-stage, and established biotech and pharmaceutical companies. An event space on the second floor of the Cira Centre and incubator space on the third and fourth floors features premier lab space with the latest equipment and technology.

O&N provided consulting structural engineering services for a concept feasibility study for the life science tenants research and laboratory space. Assessment of the existing floor framing, reinforcement designs for large mechanical ductwork penetrations, and new floor framing designs for a communicating stair, help to create a high-quality, innovative lab space.
