O'Donnell & Naccarato provided structural engineering design services for the substantial addition and renovation to Temple University's 30-year-old student center. The existing 4-story, 40,735 SF rectangular masonry structure was transformed by wrapping the exterior in a curving rotunda of glass curtain walls and metal panels adorned with ornamental brackets.

The first phase of construction consisted of renovations for a new 700-seat food service area and 16,600 SF of new construction. Phase 2 provided renovations to 37,930 SF of building space and a new 17,035 SF addition with entrance canopies. The additional space accommodates various student activities and includes; a game room, a surround theater, a full service design graphic media studio, laptop, TV and study lounges, plus spaces for student leadership, student media, and the Dean of Students.
