Kate’s Place

Project Overview

Kate’s Place, a 69,450 SF Italian Renaissance Revival residential building originally constructed in 1926 as Warburton House, underwent a full renovation in to become 144 affordable housing units. O’Donnell & Naccarato performed a facade assessment per the city’s ordinance and developed repair documents incorporated into the building’s interior renovation.

Repairs included targeted masonry and concrete restoration—sealant replacement, mortar repointing, brick replacement, and upper-level façade reconstruction. Structural concrete repairs at the basement and sub-basement levels included topside, overhead, and full-depth work on slabs, beams, and columns.

As a Philadelphia Historic Register property, all materials were reviewed and approved by the Philadelphia Historical Commission to ensure appropriate color, texture, and finish.
